FORMULATION:	Liquid. In serum free cell culture supernatant containing 0.7% BSA and 0.1% sodium azide.
IMMUNOGEN:	Mouse popliteal lymphnode after subcutaneous immunisation in the footpad with fragments of human spleen depleted of lymphocytes and erythrocytes.
SPECIFICITY:	Recognizes human macrophages and histiocytic cells in normal and diseased tissue. Does not stain dendritic cells (interdigitating cells, Langerhans' cells and microglia) nor myeloid, lymphoid or epithelial cells.
APPLICATION:	Immunocytochemistry (1:20) Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections, paraffin sections (1:20)) To improve staining results, preincubate formalin fixed sections with 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 5 min. at 720 Watt in a microwave. Tissues fixed in sensofix and sublimate buffer formalin do not need pretreatment.
